In the first quarter of 2021, the wellness app category saw significant engagement on the Android platform in Europe. Data from Sensor Tower offers a clear view of how the top five wellness applications performed during this period.

Headspace: Sleep & Meditation showed a positive trend in revenue, climbing from $107K in the last week of December to a peak of $158K in mid-January, before gradually declining to $125K by the end of March. Downloads surged to 75K in the third week of January, followed by a decrease to 34K by the end of March. Weekly active users peaked at 545K in mid-January and ended the quarter with 451K.

Calm - Sleep, Meditate, Relax also experienced a rise in revenue early in the quarter, reaching $141K in the second week of January, then slightly fluctuating and closing at around $97K. Downloads hit their highest at 128K in the third week of January, then tapered off to 46K. Meanwhile, weekly active users showed a less dramatic change, starting at 374K and dipping to approximately 325K by March's end.

Mindfulness with Petit BamBou saw its revenue rise from $38K to a peak of $53K in early March, then settling at $44K. Downloads saw a high of 45K in late February, with a downward trend to 29K. Active users displayed growth, reaching a high of 289K in mid-March, before a slight drop to 260K.

For Fabulous Daily Routine Planner, revenue saw an upswing in early January at $54K, followed by fluctuations and ending the quarter at around $34K. Downloads peaked at 58K in mid-January and then declined to 33K. Active users showed a steady increase from 165K to 193K in late March, then a slight decrease to 186K.

Lastly, Meditopia: Sleep & Meditation had its revenue fluctuate, starting at $29K and dropping to $19K by the close of the quarter. Downloads reached their zenith at 123K in early February and showed some variability, concluding with a spike to 95K. Active users remained relatively stable, with a starting point of 577K and ending marginally higher at 545K.
